Sneak Preview of “BRIGHTEST WAY”!

A two minute (well, one minute twenty second of the actual song) sneak preview to JURIBE’s upcoming single, “BRIGHTEST WAY”, has recently been uploaded on YouTube on the AvexNetwork channel. Of course, like everyone else, I was expecting a full PV, but maybe this was done because of the drama “BRIGHTEST WAY” is to be used in. Additionally, a release date for the single has been announced, April 7, 2010. So set your calendars for that date! Watch the preview PV below:

Official Site Gets a Makeover

A few hours ago Juria’s official artist website went distorted and looked like it was undergoing some obvious reconstruction. Now it looks like the Avex webmasters have finally gotten it fixed, and have more importantly given the website a rather interesting makeover. At the same time, the PV for “Mou Ichido…” has finally been uploaded to YouTube (although a much higher quality version already exists) and the cover to “BRIGHTEST WAY” has been announced, which you can see here.

First thing I noticed was the love letter...

If You’re in Tokyo or Kawasaki…

She may not be performing in a school with a schoolgirl outfit, but it's free.

If you magically happen to appear in Tokyo or Kawasaki during spring break in Japan (or if you say, already live there), then you may have the chance to see JURIAN BEAT CRISIS in concert for free. That’s right, Juria Kawakami will be playing at Toyoso LaLaport (Kawasaki), LA CITTADELLA (Tokyo), and Lazona Kawasaki on March 26, March 28, and April 2 respectively at no cost. According to the official JURIBE website, the shows are “mini lives”, so they won’t exactly take all day, but at least two of them are outside, which does sound pretty cool.

For more information and directions, read this page from her official website.

Update!

It looks like two more events were added to the page liked to above, one on April 4 and one on April 25.

JURIBE to sing for Gekikoi!

Titlecard for the drama "Gekikoi"

Titlecard for the drama Gekikoi

A few days ago it was announced that JURIAN BEAT CRISIS’s upcoming single “BRIGHTEST WAY” will be used as the theme song to the drama Geki♥koi ~Unmei Love Story~ (Japanese: 激♥恋~運命のラブストーリー; translating to something like: Fierce Love: Fate Love Story), which premiers next month on April 9. The drama is based on the popular eponymous keitai novel. This is the official summary of the drama from TokyoGraph:

In “Gekikoi,” Arai plays Miyu, a high school girl who can’t trust men after her father had an affair. Still, she inexplicably finds herself gradually falling for soccer club member Sou (Shu Watanabe). But when she learns the truth about him, her love becomes too painful to bear.

This has come as unexpected to many because NHK rarely uses songs as theme song from artists that haven’t yet released a debut album. But since this is a high school drama, I think “BRIGHTEST WAY” will fit in with the story just fine.
