About Juria

Juria Kawakami was born on December 13, 1993 in Hokkaidō, Japan. As a child she was extremely shy, so her mother enrolled her into singing and dancing lessons. This led to two things: the end of her shyness and discovery of her amazing musical talent.

In 2005 Kawakami entered A-Motion, a musical talent contest run by Avex, but didn’t win. She entered it again in 2006, and surprisingly won the contest. After training and preparation, she officially debuted as JURIAN BEAT CRISIS at the a-nation ‘09 concert, where she sang her debut single “Go! Let’s Go!” Her artist name is shortened to JURIBE or JURI☆BE.

At just the age of 15, Juria’s first single was released digitally on September 2, 2009. At her debut, it was planned that she would release twelve digital singles, one for each month starting in September, then she would release an album in September 2010. So far she has released seven digital albums, all available on online stores like iTunes Japan.
